CamSur requires S-PaSS for inward travelers

PILI, Camarines Sur (PIA)—Instead of RT-PCR test results, the provincial government here is now requiring inbound travelers their registration in the Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage (S-PaSS) travel management system application before entering at the province's border in Del Gallego town.

Only travelers who can present proof of registration will be allowed passage at the border.  This policy is also applicable to those who are traveling via air and will land at the Pili airport.

Environment Disaster Management and Emergency Response Office Chief Luzena Bermeo said the new protocol is in consonance  to Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 101, series of 2021, which mandates all local government units to implement a unified travel protocols for land, air and sea transporatation.

Travelers can secure the travel coordination permit thru https://www.s-pass.ph/.

For authorized persons outside residence (APORs), they need to upload their vaccination card, identification card and travel order while non-APORs will have to upload their vaccination cards and identification cards only.

"The S-PaSS was developed by the Department of Science and Technology and has been institutionalized as the one-stop-shop application/communication for travelers amid the pandemic,” Bermeo said.

Bermeo said the system asks for the traveler’s vaccination card and ID to ensure that the name on the vaccination card and the ID refers to one and the same person.  (PIA5/Camarines Sur)
