SAN FERNANDO CITY, Nov. 28 (PIA) - - The Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) has prepared its personnel to augment in the conduct of the National Vaccination Days set from November 29 to December 1.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar U. Mangelen Jr., chief public information officer of PRO1, said frontline medical personnel from the PRO1 Regional Medical and Dental Unit who already received their booster shots of COVID-19 vaccines are ready for deployment on the vaccination day.
“Our frontline medical PNP personnel, who are our office primarily responsible against COVID-19, will augment the technical vaccination team of the Department of Health Region 1, and the local government units in the conduct of the massive national vaccination day,” he said.
“We also have an organized reserved standby security force ready for deployment to respond to any untoward incident on the said days” he added.
Meanwhile, Police Brigadier General Emmanuel B. Peralta, PRO1 regional director, said a total of 151 priority group A1 PNP personnel had already received their COVID-19 booster shot.
“We are very fortunate to be receiving this shot, and we are hoping that everyone else also receives the much needed shot so that as we slowly ease our quarantine restrictions, we can continue to observe the decrease in covid affectation and utilization of our medical services, so everybody could go back to their normal lives and be productive once again,” Peralta said.
To date, a total of 99.42 percent of PRO1 personnel have already been fully-vaccinated, while the vaccination of their dependents is still ongoing.
An additional 164 frontline health personnel of PRO1 is also set to receive their booster shot on Dec.15.
The PRO1 booster dose vaccination program is anchored on a theme “Pulis mo bakunado para sa serbisyo publiko.” (JCR/JPD/FGL, PIA-1)
