Bacolod City all set for national vaccination day

BACOLOD CITY (PIA)– The Bacolod City government is all set for the three-day National Vaccination Day starting today, November 29, until December 1, said Bacolod City Councilor and Quarantine Centers Action Team chair Renecito Novero.

The 31 vaccination sites (now increased to 42) hope to administer 22,000 jabs a day to be able to reach the target of 66, 171 individuals, he said.

Novero hopes the goal will be reached as he urged Bacolodnons to take the vaccine at the nearest vaccination center near their homes.

He said the vaccine does not harm anyone, rather it gives immunity to the body against the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“It is not a risk in our health but it gives security against an unseen enemy the COVID-19,” he said.

Novero said the city has sufficient vaccines to accommodate those who will come to the centers.

According to the Bacolod City Public Information Office Facebook page, more than 120 Bacolodnons signed up to volunteer for the three-day vaccination drive. (AAL/Lljr/PIA6 Negros Occidental   photos by Bacolod City PIO)
