‘Bayanihan Bakunahan’ targets 25K a day in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) – The three-day national vaccination days (NVD) dubbed “Bayanihan Bakunahan” from November 29 to December 1 targets to vaccinate 20,000 to 25,000 individuals in Capiz each day.

“Our accomplishments on the NVD will be a big help in attaining our 240,000 target until Dec. 15,” Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ramon Alex Nolasco noted, as he called on those are still unvaccinated to avail of the “Bayanihan Bakunahan,”

He added that the local government units in Capiz gave it all in their respective jabs rollout this November as the province received a lot of COVID-19 vaccines from the national government.

The latest COVID-19 vaccines arrival or the 40th batch of the shots for Capiz from the national government composed of 31,800 doses of Sinovac vaccine and 14,900 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine arrived, Nov. 27, at the Roxas City Airport.

Based on the PHO data, a total of 330,356 or 58.1 percent of the target population for vaccination got jabbed as of Nov. 27.

From the total vaccinated individuals, some 192,367 are already fully-vaccinated. (JBG/AAL/PIA Capiz)
