Calabarzon has ample vaccines supply for nat'l vax days

DOH 4-A says vaccine supply in Calabarzon enough to vaccinate 3M individuals on national vax days

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna (PIA) — The Calabarzon region has a sufficient supply of vaccines to inoculate 3 million individuals during the 'Bayanihan Bakunahan' nationwide simultaneous vaccination drive from November 29 to December 1, the Department of Health Region 4A assured on Sunday.

DOH 4A Regional Director Ariel M. Valencia said that all vaccination centers in the region, especially those located in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, have enough vaccines and ancillary supplies.

“As of now, we have strategically placed manpower in areas where there are large number of eligible populations to vaccinate. We have also sufficient supply of vaccines to carry out the vaccination service and meet the 3 million targets for the next days," Valencia said.

He added that the regional health department has been delivering vaccines and syringes to local government units that requested additional supplies.

That’s is why we have to ensure that all vaccination centers at the municipal level have enough supply of vaccine and syringe especially those in GIDA communities,” Valencia said.

Available vaccines that will be used are Sinovac, Moderna, Gamaleya Sputnik V, Pfizer and AstraZeneca, according to DOH 4-A.

Valencia who led the finalization of preparations on Sunday said that it's all system go for the massive inoculation activities in the next three days.

He also assured that the regional office and local health units are already organized and well-equipped to address any concerns.

As more health human resources are needed to meet the vaccination demands and target, Valencia said health workers from various hospitals in the National Capital Region, including volunteers from private organizations, will be deployed to different vaccination centers in the region.

As Calabarzon targets to inoculate at least 1 million individuals per day, Valencia urged unvaccinated individuals to have themselves inoculated against the disease.

“I encourage all residents of CALABARZON to go to your nearest vaccination site and avail of the free vaccines against Covid-19 starting tomorrow.

Let us do our share in eliminating the Covid virus” Valencia emphasized. — with reports from DOH 4-A
