Tanay youth extend help for gov't vaccination efforts

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal (PIA)-- Tanay Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Jovel Mawili says that the local youth assist as encoders in line with the government's vaccination drive.
 
Mawili states during the November 29 Network Briefing News program hosted by Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary JV Arcena that SK officials and youth provide their assistance to the local government in line with "Bayanihan Bakunahan" National Vaccination days from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.
 
Prior to the national vaccination days, Mawili states that the SK Federation in Tanay has worked hand-in-hand with the municipal government throughout the pandemic by being stationed in checkpoints and distributing relief goods.
 
"SK Tanay also recent initated a program to distribute hygiene kits to medical frontliners," says Mawili.
 
The Tanay SK Federation is also currently undergoing preparations for assistance they may contribute to the town's pediatric vaccination drive.
 
"We also encourage the local youth to participate and get vaccinated especially since almost anywhere we go, we need to present vaccination cards," Mawili says.
 
Aside from assisting the local government, the Tanay SK Federation has also initiated sports activities in line with IATF guidelines.
 
Instead of holding sports tournaments with live audiences, the SK Federation will instead stream sports matches online to avoid mass gatherings.
 
SK Federation President Mawili also says that to ensure the safety of participants, only vaccinated youth will be allowed to play. (GG/PIA-Rizal)
