Cavite LGUs join National Vaccination Day kick-off

Trece Martires, Cavite (PIA) – Local government units of the cities and municipalities in the province join the three-day National Vaccination Day from November 29 to December 1 as they vaccination sites for the drive.

Thousands of vaccinees trooped to the Robinson’s Imus mall in Barangay Tanzang Luma in the city of Imus as well as in other onsite vaccination hubs such as the Ospital ng Imus, Maharlika Elementary School, and the General Emilio Aguinaldo National High School to get the CoViD-19 vaccine jab.

The municipal government of Tanza opened six (6) vaccination sites: Felipe Calderon Elementary School, St. Augustine Senior High School, Amaya School of Home Industries, Tanza Family General Hospital, Julugan Elementary School, and Amaya Elementary School to accommodate the influx of residents with schedule for vaccination as well as registered Walk-in vaccinees.

The Mega Vaccination rollout of the municipal government of Naic was scheduled to coincide with the three-day vaccination drive of the national government in support of this initiative, and to encourage workers to get vaccinated since they would be not be marked absent for work if they joined the health activity.

Vaccination hubs used are the Stadium Shopping Strip, Naic National High School, and the Malainen Covered Court with Moderna and Pfizer vaccines distributed.

The Alfonso LGU likewise joined the vaccination drive as it opened the vaccination sites at the Alfonso Central High School and the Poblacion 5 Covered Court with target vaccination of about five thousand eligible residents.

Meanwhile, a simultaneous vaccination rollout were conducted thru the Mobile Resbakuna in the municipality of General Mariano Alvarez for a faster and easier distribution of the CoVid-19 vaccines.

The vaccination teams inoculated residents of Barangays Metro San Jose, F. De Castro, M. Memije, and Poblacion 5 Proper while the onsite vaccination at the University of Perpetual Help System-GMA remains open for those who wish to be vaccinated with the 1st, 2nd, or booster dose of the CoViD-19 vaccines.

Base on initial report from the data gathered from the vaccination centers by the Department of Health IV-A, there were 48,636 doses administered in the province during the first day of the campaign. (RBF/PIA-Cavite)
