Tacurong tops 1st day vax target

TACURONG CITY, Sultan Kudarat --  A total of 5,406 individuals received  COVID-19 vaccine jab on the first day of  the Bayanihan Bakunahan national vaccination day campaign,  the City Government of Tacurong announced on its official Facebook page. 

This number is  25.78 percent higher than the 4,298 daily target set by the Department of Health (DOH) for the city government for the National Vaccination Days from November 29 to December 1. 


The breakdown of vaccinees reached on Monday are as follows: 

  • A1 (healthcare frontliners) - 1
  • A1.8  (outbound OFWs) - 1
  • A2 (senior citizens) - 246 
  • A3 (persons with comorbidities) - 7
  • A4 (other essential sectors) - 16 
  • A5 (poor population) - 18 
  • Rest of Adult Population - 3,547 
  • Rest of Pediatric Population - 1,562 

For the three-day event, Tacurong City should vaccinate against coronavirus disease at least 12,894 individuals. To achieve this, the city government, with help from volunteers and partners, has set up vaccination sites in 13 locations: 

  • Barangay Calean Gymnasium 
  • Barangay San Pablo Gymnasium 
  • Barangay Tina Gymnasium 
  • Barangay New Isabela Gymnasium 
  • Barangay Baras Gymnasium 
  • SMIT Gymnasium 
  • NDTC Gymnasium 
  • VMC Compound 
  • Tacurong City Public Market 
  • Sultan Kudarat Medical Specialist (Garingo Hospital) 
  • St. Louis Hospital 
  • Primark Town Center 
  • Tacurong City Cultural and Sports Center   (main vaccination hub) 

These vaccination sites are open from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (DED/PIA-XII)
