PAGADIAN CITY, 19 April (PIA)--In an effort to bring government services closer to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) with the assistance of the Local Government Unit of Margosatubig and Lapuyan has officially launched the Negosyo Center at their Municipal Hall recently.
The newly established Negosyo Centers (NCs) will provide business registration assistance, business advisory services, business information and advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation of business processes for improvement of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), among others.
The establishment of the NCs in accordance with Republic Act No. 10644 which is the “Go Business Act” which mandates the creation of Negosyo Centers under the DTI, in each city and municipality across the country.
During the event, a memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed between the DTI by Regional Director Al-Zamir Lipae and Provincial Director Flora Miraflor and the LGU of Margosatubig by Mayor George Minor and the LGU-Lapuyan by Mayor Joel Sulong, respectively.
The NCs of Margosatubig and Lapuyan are the 21st and 22nd NegosyoCenters established by the DTI in the province. (EDT/GCC/PIA-Zamboanga del Sur)
