DICT’s free wi-fi program benefits Asipulo town

DLAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA) - - Residents in some areas  in  Asipulo town   can now enjoy unlimited access to internet connectivity through the Free Wi-Fi for All-Free Public Internet Access Program of the government.


The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) established free wi-fi sites at the municipal gymnasium, municipal town hall, and municipal health office/ rural health unit.


Diana Puddunan of the Mayor’s Office explained the signal reaches within a 50 meters radius and the Wi-Fi name is freewifi4all. She mentioned some concerns especially during power interruptions, however, the DICT assured to address it for the benefit of everyone.


The DICT Free Wi-Fi for All – Free Public Internet Access Program aims to accelerate the Philippine government’s efforts in enhancing internet accessibility for Filipinos to strengthen economic, social, and educational opportunities and bridge the digital divide.


Free Wi-Fi for All aspires to empower the Filipino people digitally by tapping existing technology and ensuring that the benefits to be derived from these advancements are available to everyone. (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
