QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) intensifies its community outreach program and recently launched a simultaneous one-time big-time community outreach program in Metro Manila.

“We just want our fellow Filipinos to feel the presence of the government in their communities. Hence, we desire not only to intensify but to institutionalize our effort to regain the trust and confidence of our people in their police and the government towards the attainment of our common vision of a safe, peaceful, and progressive community for all,” said NCRPO chief Police Major General Felipe R. Natividad.

NCRPO’s Regional Community Affairs and Development Division led by Police Colonel Romy Palague, in collaboration with the five (5) Police Districts and Regional Mobile Force Battalion of NCRPO simultaneously launched a total of 109 community outreach programs in the whole of Metro Manila.

The activity was participated in by 52 agencies, 69 other services, 992 advocacy support groups deployed, and other stakeholders and force multipliers.

Over 31,033 pieces of information, education and communication (IEC) materials containing valuable information on Anti-terrorism, Enhance Comprehensive Local Integration Program, and NTF-ELCAC with emergency hotline numbers were given to over 15, 402 beneficiaries together with food packs, hot meals, and bottled water among others. (NCRPO/PIA-NCR)
