Quirino youths bag awards in DILG’s Project MERAKI

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - Some six youths from the towns of Aglipay, Diffun and Maddela brought home some awards in the different competitions during the Project MERAKI launching of the Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (RICAD) at Hotel Carmelita, Tuguegarao City recently.

Youths from Quirino province brought home some awards in the different competition during the launching of RICAD's Project MERAKI.

Project MERAKI refers to “Molding and Empowering Residents on Anti-illegal Drug Activities through Knowledge Formation and Information Sharing.”

Based on the DILG Quirino Facebook post, Joe Dominic M. Manalo of Victoria, Aglipay; Russel Kim Abad of Dagupan, Aglipay; and Mac Daryll P. Malto of Cajel, Diffun dominated the

On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest having garnered the first, second and third places respectively.

On the other hand, Billy Joe S. Peralta of Cabaruan, Maddela got the first place and Michael Bagay of Rafael Palma, Diffun receive a consolation prize in the Photojournalism competition.

Also, John Heart Laureta of San Pedro, Maddela received a consolation prize in Vlogging Contest.

The theme of the Project MERAKI launching was “Be Informed, Be Empowered, Be Drug-free!"

Project MERAKI is the first project of the Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) Advocacy Cluster of the region. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)
