ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- An estimated 5,284 jobs are up for grabs in the first ever face-to-face job fair of the Iloilo provincial government since the pandemic.
Hosted by the Iloilo Public Employment Service Office (PESO), some 63 companies will participate in the event composed of 48 local companies, nine Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms, and six overseas agencies.
These local companies are looking for administrative or accounting staff, loan or accounts officers, management trainees, civil or site project engineers, warehouse staff, and CCTV operator, among others.
Meanwhile, overseas jobs available include restaurant workers, auto mechanic, chefs, nurses, electrician, plumber, hairdresser, manicurist, cleaners, draftsmen, cashier, and supervisors, among others.
This will be slated on June 10, from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. at Robinsons Place Jaro.
Also, government agencies such as the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Bureau
of Investigation (NBI), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will be stationed to provide assistance to the applicants.
According to the Capitol media statement, 12 municipalities have offered “libreng sakay” or free rides to the applicants going to the venue.These are Anilao, Barotac Nuevo, Cabatuan, Calinog, Lambunao, Maasin, Miagao, Passi City, San Dionisio, Santa Barbara, Sara, and Tigbauan.
