4 families return home to Lanao del Norte via BP2 program

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)-- Four beneficiary families in the province are given the chance to restart their lives in their respective hometowns through the “Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa” (BP2) program of the government.

Four families who benefited from the BP2 program were fetched on Tuesday at Laguindingan Airport by the provincial government and were transported to their barangays in the municipalities of Kauswagan, Tubod, Baroy and Lala. They also received hygiene kits, sleeping kits, kitchen utensils, and food item packages from the provincial social welfare and development.

After residing in Metro Manila for 22 years, Lilibeth Domo is happy that they finally returned to their hometown in Kauswagan town.

His husband worked as a construction worker there. But due to the pandemic, they had difficulty paying their rent and buying their necessities. With this, they decided to apply for the BP2 program.

“We thank President Rodrigo Duterte because with this program we are finally home. We are really happy. We will fulfill our dreams here. My children will finish their studies here," she said.

Meanwhile, after working as a construction worker in Cavite for 18 years, Jojie Lapinig has returned home with his family to their town in Tubod. According to him, he lost his job due to the pandemic. He hopes to begin a new life with the help of the government.

“We are thankful that finally, we are home. I am very happy. I thank Sen. Bong Go and President Rodrigo Duterte," he said.

Moreover, three families from Bukidnon and one from Iligan City who are beneficiaries of the BP2 program also arrived on Tuesday. (LELA/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
