NAVAL, Biliran (PIA) -- The Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) has improved its global ranking in this year's World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) in Crisis Management category.
BIPSU ranked 26th in 2021 for its immediate response measures to COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in extending its services to the community.
This year, BIPSU ranked 22nd along with six other prominent universities of the country, namely, Far Eastern University, Cebu Normal University, FEU Institute of Technology, St. Paul University Philippines, Mariano Marcos State University, and Samar State University.
WURI ranking is shaped to evaluate the universities’ performance in creating real values to society and for the future.
“BiPSU is recognized globally of not only surviving but also thriving in this time of worldwide crisis,” said Dr. Victor C. Cañezo Jr. in a statement when the university got the first global ranking last year.
“This is our advance present to our dear alma mater on its golden anniversary,” Cañezo said in his recent social media post, referring to the second consecutive year for the university to get the global ranking. (MMP/VJM/PIA-8)
