21 OSYs benefit from DA’s free native chicken dispersal

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 21 Out of School Youth (OSYs) including three barangay tanods in barangay Sta. Catalina, this city were identified as beneficiaries of the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) free native chicken dispersal.

The said beneficiaries were selected by Sta. Catalina Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman Melvin Adurable through its Project “Agri-SK” otherwise known as Agrikulturang Serbisyong Pagkabataan in partnership with DA.

“This project was realized in support of the DA through Mr. Junel Soriano and Sta. Catalina Barangay Captain Fredie Peralta,” Adurable said.

He said the project aims to give his fellow youths the opportunity to practice agriculture through native chicken production amidst the pandemic.

Adurable urged the beneficiaries to grow and sustain the livelihood that were provided to them to augment their income.

He said there will be second batch as he is finalizing the masterlist for the next native chicken dispersal beneficiaries. (OTB/MGE/PIA Isabela)
