CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) region 10 will spearhead a face-to-face Job Fair on local and overseas job vacancies on 12 June at the 2nd Floor Event Center, Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City.
DOLE regional director Albert Gutib shared in Talakayan sa PIA, media forum that the 124th Labor Day celebration is anchored on the theme, “Pagsuong Sa Hamon Ng Panibagong Bukas.”
A total of 2,879 job openings from 53 different participating companies will be present in the fair.
Top occupations for local include Production Workers (130 vacancies) Service Crew thru outsourcing (100); BPO Customer Service Representatives (60); Human Resource Managers (50); Proof Readers (50); Subtitlers (50); Bus Conductors (50); Bus Drivers (50); Manufacturing Bundlers (50); and Production Utility (50). Meanwhile for overseas, Office and Facility Cleaning Workers (80); Sales Ladies (80); Food Attendants (50); General Cleaners/Workers (50); and Electroplaters (50).
DOLE requires job applicants to pre-register through http://jobfair.dole10.net/.
Meanwhile, regionwide there will be a One-Stop Desk with the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC)-member agencies, said director Gutib.
This comprises of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Regional Conciliation Mediation Board (RCMB), National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) Regional Arbitration Branch, Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RWTPB), Employees Compensation Commission (ECC), Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration-Regional Extension Unit (POEA REU-10) and Department of Trade and Industry-X.
There will also be a showing of 2nd DOLEkula Film Festival films featuring anti child labor activities. (JMOR/PIA10)
