OVP opens satellite office in Bacolod City

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL (PIA) –- The Office of the Vice President of the Philippines opened its Bacolod City Satellite Office, August 1, at Lacson Street Extension, Goldenfields Complex in Bacolod City.

It is the 7th satellite office of the Office of the Vice President Sara Zimmerman Duterte which sits at the Mosser Building (owned by the Mosser Family) in the city.

Former Bacolod City mayor Evelio Leonardia, Himamaylan City mayor Raymund Tongson, Mrs. Annabelle Mosser and Mr. Ian Canson joined the ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremonies.

“This is a dream come true.  We are glad to be given the privilege to witness and contribute to the goals of Vice President Sara to help those in need.  The goals is to connect to the people especially those who are needing help,” Leonardia said in his message.

Meanwhile, Tongson said it is a great blessing that President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. and Vice President Duterte won in the elections because now we can see the continuation of their programs.

“Now we are going to extend the services

of not just a senator or a congressman but the services of the Vice President to the people of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental,” Tongson added.

The Bacolod OVP Satellite Office will initially cater to Medical and Burial Assistance to Bacolodnons and Negrenses while the Libreng Sakay Bus courtesy of Vallacar Transit will be available starting August 3 with route from Progreso Village to the Public Plaza and vice versa.
