Kiangan MPS ends PCR Month with community outreach

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) - - The Kiangan Municipal Police Station (MPS),  in partnership with the local government unit and the Municipal Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (MAGPTD) conducted an outreach  at  barangay   Julongan in Kiangan  in July 28 to culminate the observance of the 27th Police Community Relations Month.

Haircut, circumcision and information drive were conducted by personnel of the Municipal Health Office, Social Welfare and Development Office, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and the Municipal Fire Station.

Assorted grocery packs were also distributed to 15 senior citizens and physically challenged individuals as beneficiaries of Kiangan MPS’s best practice dubbed “PAMHOD” (love).

An earthquake drill was also conducted.

Julongan Punong Barangay Bernardo Nazario thanked the municipal government and Kiangan MPS for choosing his barangay as recipient of the outreach activity that brought free services to the community.   


Acting-Chief of Police Major Michael Dangilan underscored the importance of the police community relations in peacekeeping and their key role in attaining sustainable peace and progressive community.

The Executive Assistant of the mayor assured that the LGU is fully supportive to whatever plans, programs, and activities of the police unit for as long as it is for the benefit of the communit, as he urged the people to support the police.

 “I urge the community to give your full support and give our full respect to the police for without them, the LGU cannot maintain peace and order in the community”, Olmigy Hagada stated.

 The Kiangan MPS is conducting several activities that strengthen the collaboration, coordination, cooperation, and participation of the LGUs, the community, and other stakeholders in crime prevention and in maintaining peace and order for a sustainable peace and development in the municipality.
