Isabela exec reorganizes PPOC

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - One month after the assumption to office of local elected leaders, the local chief executive of this province has reorganized the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) as provided for under the Local Government Code of 1991.

In Executive Order No. 11, Series of 2022 Gov. Rodolfo Albano III said that Section 16 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, provides for the organization of the local peace and order council to perform recommendatory and coordinative functions in support of the local government’s peace and order campaign, and assist in policy formulation and implementation.

Albano said that the separation, transfer and/or promotion from the office of the Provincial Peace and Order Council members for the period July 2019 to June 2022, have resulted in vacancies in the membership of the Isabela PPOC.

He said there is a need to reconstitute the Council for the continuing effective implementation of the provincial government's peace and order programs and initiatives.

The following are the PPOC officers under Executive Order No. 11, Gov. Rodolfo Albano II as Chairman, Vice-Gov. Faustino G. Dy III as Vice-Chairman, Atty. Noel Manuel Lopez as Action Officer, respectively.

Albano said the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Isabela shall serve as the PPOC Secretariat, handling the council's administrative and technical activities. (MGE / PIA Isabela)
