TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- As the country gradually embraces the new normal brought by the pandemic, the Tandag Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (TCCII) is proudly hosting the significant event of the 31st Mindanao Business Conference starting September 1 to September 2, 2022 for the conference proper at Northeastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Stadium in Tandag City.
According to TCCII Chair John Vincent Cruz Pimentel, they are expecting influx of visitors to join the event composed of: business leaders, industry movers, policy experts, enterprising game changers, and various stakeholders in southern Philippines. They will discuss on how to come up with, if not the best, the better recommendations on how to harness and develop the immense potential and vast resources of Mindanao.
Pimentel further explained that the MinBizCon will converge the government officials and the private sectors as partners for progress, development, sustainability, and more, with focus on long-term resiliency to future shudders, possible overhauls and integration of structures, system, and data-sharing to drive greater impact and making programs and services truly equitable and inclusive.
With a theme of One Mindanao: Bigger, Better, Bolder!, the Conference aims to tackle three thematic panels:
1. The impetus to scale up economic production in Bigger Mindanao,
2. The need to improve business conditions and production factors through better Mindanao, and
3. The critical importance of bold and visionary leadership that can ferry a Bolder Mindanao through the new normal.
Meanwhile, prior to the Conference proper on September 1, the arrival of participants, and the Chamber Management Forum takes place as early as today, August 30, 2022. The Welcome Dinnerl is sponsored by the Caraga League of Mayors.
The partnership of TCCII with the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur, and the City Government of Tandag as host of the event will boost the tourism industry of the booming elongated province of Surigao del Sur including the eastern part of Mindanao as one of the destinations to discover by both foreign and local tourists .
The Media Launching was successfully conducted on Monday, August 29, 2022 at the Petron Pavillion in Tandag City, as officially declared by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Eastern Mindanao Regional Governor Julie Senense.
