Manila unveils tourism, cultural development plan

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) -- As part of the Tourism Month celebration, the City Government of Manila, through the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila unveiled and presented its first ever Manila Tourism and Cultural Development Plan during a stakeholders meeting at the Diamond Hotel, Manila recently.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna led the event and joined by other local government officials.

Lacuna expressed optimism that the newly approved plan will boost Manila's stature as one of the premier tourism and cultural destinations in the country.

The plan was developed through a series of stakeholders meetings that were done before the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Manila Public Information Office.

The said event was also an opportunity for the people to be updated on what occurred since its inception and be aware of the future directions of the capital city when it comes to the tourism industry. (MPIO/PIA-NCR)
