CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga(PIA) - - The Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO), in partnership with local government health teams, continues to intensify the drive for primary series and booster dose against COVID-19 in line with efforts to vaccinate 23 million individuals within the first 100 days of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s administration.
During the Bakunahang Bayan special vaccination days on September 27-30, the province of Kalinga was able to inoculate 2,682 individuals, the second highest in the Cordillera Region next to Abra.
PDOHO team said health workers since September 27 are on marathon vaccination in the barangays, schools, government offices and private institutions to inoculate the target number of the populace in order to attain the province’s contribution to the country’s goal for herd immunity.

The ROTC communicates a shared trend and progressive transition towards the new normal vis-à-vis the face to face learning.
Meanwhile, PDOHO released for public dissemination health events to celebrate this month of October which are Breast Cancer Awareness Month, National Newborn Screening Week and Filipino Elderly Week on the first week; National Mental Health Week (2nd week); Bone and Joint Awareness Week, National Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Awareness Week, and Health Education Week on the third week), Food Safety Awareness Week (last week), World Sight Day (2nd Thursday), World Mental Health Day (Oct. 10), Global Handwashing Day (Oct. 15), and World Psoriasis Day (Oct. 29).
