ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--The Philippine Statistics Authority-10 (PSA) brought its Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Information and Education Campaign Regional Roadshow here on November 9.
The roadshow gathered participants from the government sector, local government units, private sectors from Iligan City, Lanao del Norte and Misamis Oriental to ensure the smooth integration of PhilSys in all processes, databases, systems, and services.
Osler M. Mejares, chief statistical specialist of PSA-Lanao del Norte, said the IEC roadshow aims to reach out to national government agencies, local government units, government institutional institutions, government-owned and controlled corporations, and financial private organizations.
“This is to provide them with the guidance and assistance they required to comply, as making this PhilSys sufficient proof of identities, and transactions need to their offices; and to accelerate the digital transformation of service delivery,” he said.
Some of the topics discussed during the roadshow include Salient Features of Republic Act No. 11055 which is an Act Establishing The Philippine Identification System, PhilSys and Printable PhilID, and API-enabled Authentication Services.
Meanwhile, Marcos Ryan Laurente, officer-in-charge of the Government Services Use Cases Division said that the success does not rely on the PSA alone.
“We need some partners to give equal access to everyone to services that they deserve,” he said.
The PhilSys team also accommodated the printing of ePhilID, the digital version of the PhilID which is printed on a piece of paper. It is a proactive strategy of PSA to enable registrants to take advantage of the benefits of the PhilSys pending the delivery of the PhilID card. (LELA/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
