Quirino LGUs honored in 2022 DILG-EAGLE Awards

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - The Department of the Interior and Provincial Government (DILG) recently conferred Excellence Award on Governance and Leadership (EAGLE) 2022 to the provincial local government and three municipalities here during the CY 2022 awarding ceremonies in Tuguegarao City recently.

The provincial local government unit along with the municipal local government units of Diffun, Maddela and Saguday were awarded as Outstanding Local Government Unit for the CY 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance.

The Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) is an award, incentive, honor and recognition-based program for all LGUs and is a continuing commitment for LGUs to continually progress.

Also, Barangays Palacian, Aglipay; Banuar, Cabarroguis; Andres Bonifacio, Diffun; San Pedro, Maddela; Disimungal, Nagtipunan and Dibul, Saguday received citations being Outstanding Local Government Unit for CY 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance Barangay (SGLGB).

Furthermore, Diffun, Maddela and Saguday are finalists for the Outstanding LGU for Region 2 Adopting Safe, Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure Systems- Revitalizing Infrastructure Development and Bolstering Rebound Initiatives in the new Normal (R2 ASSETS REBORN 2022) under different categories.

Diffun was finalist for Local Access Road Category, Maddela for Potable Water System Category and Saguday for Disaster Risk Reduction Management (Vertical Infrastructure) Category.

Meanwhile, Barangay Captain Reynald G. Ramos of San Pedro, Maddela was hailed as the Most Outstanding Punong Barangay and Barangay San Pedro as Most Outstanding Barangay, respectively.

On the other hand, Aurora West, Diffun  landed as finalist for Most Outstanding Barangay Peace and Oder Committee (BPOC);  Andres Bonifacio, Diffun for Most Outstanding Barangay Tanod (Individual and Team Community Services) and Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa (1st to 3rd Class Municipality);  Salvacion, Saguday  for Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa (4th to 6th Class Municipality); Palacian, Aglipay  for Most Outstanding Sangguniang Barangay; Disimungal, Nagtipunan  for Most Outstanding Barangay Secretary;  and Baguio Village, Diffun for Most Outstanding Barangay Treasurer.
