Lingap Justice League brings free legal services to PDLs

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Lingap Justice League - Isabela offered free legal services to the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Isabela Provincial Jail in this city.

The league is composed of a group of lawyers from the Department of Justice, LGU City of Ilagan, Supreme Court of the Philippines, Public Attorneys Office and Integrated Bar of the Philippines - Isabela chapter.

Acting Executive Judge of Regional Trial Court Ilagan City Atty. Joel Bantasan said the Lingap Justice League - Isabela’s visit to PDLs aims to deliver free legal advice for their cases.

He urged the PDLs who have problems with their cases to get legal advice from the lawyers either from the Public Attorneys Office, the IBP Isabela Chapter or other lawyers from the Lingap Justice League - Isabela.

Bantasan said that aside from giving of free legal advice, the League also sponsored sports activities like basketball, badminton and several other activities as a sort of enjoyment while inside the jail facility.

Provincial Jail Warden Emelito Marquez welcomed the group of lawyers and thanked them for visiting and offering free legal services to the PDLs.

He said the Isabela Provincial Jail houses 225 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) who are charged with various types of criminal charges. (OTB/MGE / PIA Isabela)
