CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – About 563 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) family beneficiaries will come out of the program in December 2022 after the recent validation conducted by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO).
The identification of the exiting families to the program was presented during the recent department heads and stakeholders’ Municipal Inter-Agency Committee 4th Quarter Meeting cum Case Conference of Exiting Pantawid Household held at the 2nd Floor of Café de Baco in the town of Baco.
Based on the report of the municipal government of Baco, the families that will exit in the program are already among the families that have alleviated their living standards with the aid of 4Ps and they no longer have eligible 0-18 years old children for monitoring.
The local government has new additional 400 families to enter 4Ps this December 2022. Also, included in the meeting were the discussions on the presentation of LGU-provided interventions to beneficiaries, status and updates of Pantawid Program, creation of Family Development Session (FDS) team, status of the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDDS) program, and presentation of gaps based on Social Welfare and Development Indicators (SWDI), Workshop and Presentation Output.
Mayor Allan A. Roldan asked program implementers to be extra-careful in choosing the right beneficiaries of 4Ps to avoid ‘palakasan,’ or a value system where one gains favor in order to qualify for the program. Roldan said, “select the ones that are considered to be poor families.” (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
