NCR's COVID positivity rate up over 12%

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The positivity rate of COVID-19 in the National Capital Region (NCR) has jumped to over 12%.

According to Dr. Guido David, fellow of the OCTA research group, the 12.4% positivity rate was recorded from Nov. 26 to Dec. 3 from 11.1%.

David said that the provinces of Bataan, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Quezon, Rizal and Zambales also recorded an increase in the positivity rate during the same period.

Nueva Ecija recorded the highest positivity rate in Luzon at 39.1% from 32.9% on November 26, Camarines Sur was second at 38.8% and Isabela – 38.6%.

Provinces in Luzon that have recorded decreased positivity rates include Albay, Batangas, Benguet, Bulacan, Cavite, Isabela, Kalinga, La Union, Mountain Province and Tarlac. (PIA-NCR)
