DPWH completes slope protection project in San Jose City

CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a slope protection project in San Jose City.

The 1,166-square meter infrastructure located in barangay Tayabo was implemented by DPWH Nueva Ecija 1st District Engineering Office.

District Engineer Armando Manabat said it will protect about 40 meters of Daang Maharlika from frequent landslides.

“The K0166+700 - K0166+740 section of Daang Maharlika is considered prone to landslides and with this rockfall netting project, motorists can now pass through this area without endangering their safety,” Manabat added.

It will also mitigate the detrimental effects of falling rocks on road structures, thus extending their service life.

The agency allotted P20.5 million for the project. (CLJD-PIA 3)
