CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro continues to distribute food packs to a number of affected families who were affected by floods in areas of Barangay Pinagsabangan I, Pinagsabangan II and Nag-Iba I in Naujan.
The Provincial Government team headed by Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor led the relief distribution to more than 1,000 families affected by floods due to incessant rains in the past week. Some areas in Naujan, particularly in Sitio Curva are flooded every time heavy downpour occurs which eventually resulted to a temporary disruption of travels of all types of vehicles in the area.
During the conduct of relief distribution, Dolor laid out the plans as well as government initiatives to Naujeños on how to address the flood problem in their area. He assured the affected people in the community that they will do necessary actions to resolve it.
The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro and all the concerned Municipal Governments are joining together to address this problem since flooding, not only in Naujan but in areas of Baco is one of the most challenging emergencies to prepare for and respond to. (LTC/PIA MIMAROPA)
