PLGU Quirino, Amazon to launch Cloud Certification Training for Quirinians

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - The provincial government here thru the Office of the Provincial Administrator is set to launch the Amazon Cloud Certification Course for Quirinians, a program in partnership with the Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Amazon re/Start is a full-time classroom-based skills development and training program that prepares individuals from diverse backgrounds for entry-to-mid-level cloud positions.

Provincial Administrator Carmen Bustos Jimenez said through the initiative of Governor Dax Cua, the provincial government partnered with the AWS to provide new hope and a new career for  Quirinians.

“This is for the unemployed, underemployed, out-of-school youth and displaced Kailyans for them to be able to start new careers in cloud computing services,” Jimenez said.

Jimenez further said that the provincial government and Amazon will provide training for the first batch who will become Cloud Certified and AWS will also provide free certification.

During the I Love Quirino on Air program, Provincial Administrator Carmen Jimenez says that the Amazon Cloud Certification Course provides hope and new career for Quirinians.

AWS will provide the trainees with Cloud Foundation on the  Introduction to Cloud; Introduction to Programming and Fundamentals on Line, Python, Security, Networking and Databases; AWS Core Services such as Cloud Foundation, Global Infra, Cloud Security, Cloud Architecting, System OperationTooling & Automation and Cloud Support Services.

Aside from these, career trajectory with Cloud associates, Software Engineering, Junior  Development Operations Engineering, AWS Core Services Support, Cloud Infra Development, Automation on AWS and IT Support will be opened for trainees who will able to complete the training and free certification.

“There is a very high demand and cloud computing is number one among the skills that big companies are looking for. We will provide more information regarding this program in the next few weeks," Jimenez assured. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)
