San Carlos City launches 10-day CBDRP

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL (PIA) -- At least 103 Persons Who Used Drugs or PWUD in San Carlos City availed of the 10-day Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP).

The local government of San Carlos kicked off the rehabilitation program at Barangay Buluangan through its San Carlos City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (SCCADAC).

PSSG Ma. Felomina R. Flores of the San Carlos City Police Community Relations (PCR) told beneficiaries to take the CBDRP seriously since the change should come from them.

“You must complete the rehabilitation process to avail of the livelihood program of the government,” Flores said.

City Social Welfare and Development-OIC Edena S. Dagondon said the CSWD is responsible for the profiling and the 10-day CBDRP after-care program.

Dagondon also urged beneficiaries to change for good and forget their bad habit.

During the launch, two CBDRP graduates also shared a testimony about their

experiences during their rehabilitation, attesting that drug use is very destructive to oneself, family, friends, loved ones, and even things around them.

The two graduates (of previous batches) were grateful for the CBDRP which allowed them to avail of the Kabuhayan Program through the Parole and Probation Office. (AAL/EAD/PIA6 Negros Occidental)
