PSA Kalinga brings PhilSys ID registration campaign to schools

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) - -The Philippine Statistics Authority Kalinga is reaching out to educational institutions to conduct school-based registration campaign.

PSA-Kalinga Chief Statistical Specialist Maribel Dalayday said this aims to address the low participation rate of students during the registration and to cascade accurate information about PhilSys Identification System(PhilSys) to teachers, parents, students and non-teaching staff.

The PSA team carried out classroom-to-classroom information dissemination and flyer distribution to raise their awareness on the PhilSys Identification System and its advantages.

Twenty schools comprising public and private elementary and secondary schools and colleges with total registrants of 1,452 were already visited this year.

In a related development, PSA established its booth at the Capitol grounds during the 4th Bodong Festival that provided services on PhilSys registration, issuance of printable ID, PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project, and assistance in availing Civil Registration Service (CRS) records. This also served as an opportunity to inform the public of the newly Outlet in this city.

Dalayday said they received positive feedbacks which inspired them to continue bringing closer their services to the communities and schools. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
