ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal (PIA) — At least eight workers’ associations in Tanay, Rizal benefitted from a learning development program on March 7 to help them in organizational and fiscal management.
Organized by the Rizal provincial offices of the Department of Labor and Employment and the Department of Agrarian Reform, the Work Organization Development Program (WODP) offered
labor concepts beneficial to the agricultural sector such as financial management and the Republic Act 9231 or the Anti-Child Labor Law and Mental Health.
DOLE-Rizal Provincial Head Engr. Joseph P. Gacosta, urged participants to share the learnings with their associations and communities.
“Sana po ay itong ating pagsasama-sama sa buong araw ay maging baon po ninyo sa pag-uwi— ang mga aral na mai-aapply ninyo sa samahan, sa inyong mga trabaho at sa inyong pamayanan,” Gacosta said.
DOLE-Rizal’s WODP activities aim to upgrade the skills of workers organizations in the areas of leadership, organizational development and management, labor and human relations, grievance handling, labor laws, occupational safety and health, productivity, among others.
