BAGUIO CITY (PIA) -- Two schools in Baguio City are among the top performing schools in the country in the recently released results of the 2023 Medical Technologist Licensure Examinations.
Saint Louis University is ranked as Top 2 among all the schools nationwide with a 99.63% passing rate with 271 passers out of 272 examinees while the University of Baguio is ranked Top 8 with a 94.59% passing rate with 70 passers out of 74 examinees.
Two medical schools in Cebu, the Velez College and Cebu Doctors Hospital, are both ranked as Number 1 having 100% passing rate. Velez College had 143 passers while the Cebu Doctors Hospital had 95 passers.
Meanwhile, three examinees of SLU are among the top performing students in the Medical Technologist board examinations.
Steven Joseph Gabuni Gambito is Top 5, John Russel Mendoza Perez at 9th spot and Michele Ven Cayandag Meria at Top 10 with with rating of 91.50% , 91.10% and 91.00%, respectively. .
Sidrey Mel Aldeguer Flores from the Colegoo San Agustin-Bacolod City was the topnotcher with a 92.10 rating.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced recently that 4,714 out of 6,165 passed the Medical Technologists Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this March 2023.
The results of examination with respect to four examinees were withheld as per Board Resolution No. 09 dated March 14, 2023.
The PRC said that on May 2 - 5, May 8 - 12, and May 15 - 19, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), two pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope.
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. Those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.
The PRC said that the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced on a later date. (RMC- PIA-CAR)
