BAGUIO CITY (PIA) -- The Social Security System (SSS) initiated a Stakeholders' Forum at the BENECO Building in South Drive, Baguio City on Thursday (March 16).
Around 150 stakeholders including employers, cooperative members, and human resource representatives from Baguio City and Benguet participated in the forum.
SSS top executives led by President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rolando Macasaet provided updates on the various programs of the agency. They also addressed concerns and queries from the participants.
Macasaet said the SSS has been doing the Stakeholders' Forum to bring closer the SSS to the people, but this time, he wanted that this will be conducted frequently around the country.
"With renewed energy, masaya kaming tumulong para ang serbisyo namin ay ramdam ninyo," the new SSS chief said.
Prior to the forum, a press briefing was conducted where the SSS officials gave updates on their programs such as the digitalization, claiming of benefits, pensions, among others.
The digitalization, the 357 institution, the universal coverage, the coverages for the kasambahay, lahat 'yan, the SSS will continue to do all of these things but this time, what I want is to go back to the basic, ibig sabihin, serbisyo, serbisyo, serbisyo, Macasaet said.
He added that they will also go to the different areas in the Philippines to bring closer their services to the people. He bared that they will also launch sooner the SSS on E-Wheels to assist their clients in registering in the different services of the agency.
"Ang gusto ko, SSS will be relevant. I want SSS to continue with its programs with a little more patience, a little more love, a little more caring for its members," he said.
Macasaet is the former Government Service Insurance System President and General Manager. He was appointed as the new president and CEO of SSS last January 2023. (JDP/DEG-PIA CAR)
