DAVAO CITY (PIA) – The sports team from Heracleo Casco Memorial National High School in Sta. Maria town, has received 13 pairs of shoes which the athletes could use during the Davao Occidental Provincial Athletic Association (DavOccPAA) Meet 2023 to be held in Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental.
The shoes were a donation from Sta. Maria Mayor Benjamin Claude III Bautista, SB Member Councilor Lea Abe, Sports Development Officer Jose Mari Presbitero, and Youth Development Coordinator Amalia Lin Cabangbang.
“The new shoes could boost our self-confidence during the provincial meet,” stated one of the athlete participants in the vernacular.
The LGU has also provided 280 tumblers, hygiene kits and 20 sacks of rice for Sta. Maria’s athletes and coaches who will participate in the provincial meet which will commence on March 16, 2023.
This year’s DavOccPAA theme “Championing Endless Possibilities,” wants to convey a message of inclusivity, excellence, and championing endless possibilities in the province through sports. (Sta. Maria LGU/PIA-XI, Franchette Delfin)
