Suspected communist group members surrender to SPD

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Four members of the Alliance of Filipino Workers (AFW) have surrendered and withdrew their support to the Communists Party in the Southern Police District (SPD), Wednesday.

The four, who were identified as Kathlene Ramirez, a nursing attendant; Jaime Regencia, an ambulance driver; Bernardo Casila Aquino, a nursing attendant; and Joemarie Esmedina Eusebio, a maintenance personnel, took their oath of allegiance to the government at the Fort Bonifacio Police Sub-station, at 9th Avenue corner 40th St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

The four are all members of the labor union Alliance of Filipino Workers (AFW) known as sectoral personalities who reportedly incite to strikes and mass protest against the government.

According to SPD chief Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft, the Taguig City Police Substation 1, the Special Project Team-RIU NCR and Intelligence Section of Taguig City Police Station facilitated the four CTG members' Oath of Allegiance to the government after withdrawing their support to the CPP-NPA-NDF.
