CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a multipurpose building (MPB) at barangay Sangitan West in Cabanatuan City.
The two-storey, 218.10-square meter facility was constructed near the city's Freedom Park.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said the P9.7-million infrastructure now serves as the barangay's Administrative Office and has a separate space for its Day Care Center.
“Barangay Sangitan West officials have also designated specific areas to house their Session Hall and Pulis sa Barangay office, which is equipped with a CCTV room and a lockup cell, in order to better serve its citizens,” Trinidad added.
The project also includes the provision of amenities such as disability ramps, five comfort rooms, and a kitchen.
Six air conditioning units were likewise installed.
The MPB was funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2022 and implemented as part of the agency's Basic Infrastructure Program. (CLJD-PIA 3)
