PIA Biliran, BilComNet to hold Serbisyo Caravan in Almeria

NAVAL, Biliran (PIA) -- The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) - Biliran Provincial Information Center, in cooperation with the Biliran Communicators Network (BilComNet), will hold a Serbisyo Caravan at the covered court of Barangay Tabunan, Almeria on April 19.

“Serbisyo Caravan is aimed at bringing government services at the doorstep of the people in the community,” PIA Biiran Information Center Manager Rodrigo S. Victoria said to BilComNet members when the plan was presented during its first quarter meeting on March 15 at the BILECO main office.

Alfredo Delos Santos, BilComNet president, said the holding of Serbisyo Caravan is one way of bringing various government programs and services where people at the grassroots can easily access and avail them.

Lorenzo Dela Cruz, the newly designated information officer and the executive secretary of Mayor Richard D. Jaguros of Almeria town, accepted the challenge during the meeting to have the Serbisyo Caravan in the municipality of Almeria, particularly in Barangay Tabunan.

The Serbisyo Caravan will be participated in by 17 government agencies in the province of Biliran, namely: PSA, DICT, DTI, TESDA Provincial Office, PDEA, Provincial DOH Office, PhilHealth Naval Local Health Insurance Office, TESDA-CNSAT, PAO Naval District Office, TESDA Provincial Training Center, Social Security System, PCSO Biliran Branch, PCG, PENRO, LTO Naval District Office and BILECO.

Services that will be provided include PhilSys Registration and printing of e-PhilIDs; free SIM Card registration; business name registration and business advisory services; free legal assistance, notarial services, and legal advice; medical check up and consultation services; application of national police clearance; updating of membership record, release of MDR, and processing of new membership; accepting documents for renewal of National Certificate, certificate of competency, trainers methodology, and other documents from TESDA; SSS online services assistance such as on SSS number and other documents; on-site processing of medical assistance; safety, security and environmental numbering system for fisherfoks; free patent for residential and agricultural lands, distribution of various species of seedlings; consultation on motor vehicles registration; and new connection application, updating/renaming of accounts, new connection application, and senior citizen discount application.

The various services and the corresponding requirements will be disseminated in social media platforms and in radio stations in the province. (MMP/RSV/PIA Biliran)
