The said LGU will share the profit to the said barangays to improve, develop, and maintain the beauty, cleanliness and attraction of its tourist spots.

‘’LGU-Camalig tthrough the Municipal Tourism and Cultural Heritage Office (MTCHO) will share 30% of the total revenue, or approximately P90,000 to the stated Barangays with tourism sites,’’ Baldo said.

‘’(It is) to maintain its extensive tourist development program through increased investment and income production as well as the development of the municipality’s tourism circuits,’’ he added.

Municipal Ordinance No. 2016-10 or ‘Camalig Integrated Tourism & Cultural Heritage Code’ guidelines strengthens the aim of the municipality in terms of tourist site developments and economic growth.

‘’This program is in line with the MO No. 2016-10, wherein one of its goals is to financially support barangay representatives in the implementation of tourism, cultural, and environmental interventions for the benefit of both residents and tourists,’’ Baldo said.

Baldo added that one of its objective is to provide opportunities for the improvement of the residents' livelihood.

‘’LGU Camalig works hard to boost its efforts for comprehensive tourism marketing strategies, to reflect the town’s readiness to host more tourists, and its favorability to expand town’s tourism enterprises and livelihood opportunities for the locals,’’ Baldo stressed. (PIA5/Albay)
