It also strengthens supply and demand reduction efforts by galvanizing the support of the community, duty-bearers, and other stakeholders in drug use and rehabilitation, and seeks to improve quality of life and safeguard the Filipino people from criminality and the ill-effects of drugs in a manner that is within the framework of law and with respect to human rights.

“DILG-Aklan and the Aklan provincial government, with our efforts to foster multi-stakeholder and community involvement, appeal to each and every Aklanon to support the BIDA program and activities. Let us work hand-in-hand in countering the proliferation of illegal and dangerous drugs in Aklan, and safeguard our people from criminality and ill-effects of drugs,” Ponsaran said.
