MANILA, (PIA) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) is warning the public and focusing its efforts on the spread of party drugs this summer vacation.
This was emphasized by PNP-PIO chief Col. Redrico Maranan where the national police issued an 'Oplan Summer Vacation'.
According to Maranan, part of the 'Oplan Summer Vacation' is the monitoring of tourist spots and bars in the country that may be visited by the public, especially the youth.
It is known that during this holiday, the sale of party drugs is strong and the purchase is also hidden in the market and most of the victims are young people.
He said that young people are easily persuaded and influenced by their friends and are very 'adventurous'.
Maranan said that during the holidays, there are parties left and right, so the chiefs of police have been alerted to guard the bars in their jurisdiction.
The PNP also called on parents to keep an eye on their children and make sure to know who they come into contact with in order to save them from any involvement in the sale of illegal drugs. (PIA-NCR)
