The financial aid under OWWA’s “Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay” Program is given as immediate relief to returning displaced and distressed OFWs to help them reintegrate back to normal living. The 37 OFWs each received P20,000 start-up capital for income generating projects.
OWWA also provided P20,000 per year stipend to 20 dependents of OFWs earning monthly income not more than P30,000. Two other beneficiaries pursuing college were given P60,000 scholarship grant per year until they finish their 4-5-year baccalaureate courses.
