ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, 05 May (PIA) - Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center (ZDSMC) now has a new Digital Breast Tomosynthesis Mammography Machine that can detect breast cancer in women at an early stage. It costs around P20 million.

Governor Yu highlighted the importance of early detection of breast cancer during the blessing of the machine,  emphasizing the great help women's health can benefit from it.

The acquisition of the digital mammography machine is a milestone for ZDSMC, as it is the first of its kind in Zamboanga del Sur.

Radiologist Dr. Kizmar Arani Pueblo of ZDSMC said it would make easier for women to access medical services related to breast cancer screening and treatment.
