PSA opens Antique Civil Registry System Outlet

SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has officially opened its Civil Registry System (CRS) outlet in this province, providing Antiqueños with closer-to-home access to different civil registry services.

The newly-opened CRS Outlet is the fourth of its kind in Western Visayas and the 60th in the country.

With its inauguration and official launching on May 12, obtaining civil registry documents from PSA is now easier, faster, and cheaper for many.

Antiqueños, as well as residents of nearby Iloilo towns, can now be accommodated by CRS Outlet Antique located at Xela Hotel in the capital town of San Jose de Buenavista and avail themselves of services such as copy issuance of birth, marriage, and death certificates, issuance of Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) and the new document Certificate of No Death (CENODEATH).

Other services include authentication, premium annotation, “Viewable Online” which is similar to copy issuance, except that the resulting image document is not printed on security paper, and “DOCPRINT” which allows individuals who used Viewable Online to generate their document by presenting the given Quick Response (QR) code to the outlet.

While CRS Outlet Antique is now accepting walk-in clients, priority will be given to clients with online appointments made through https://appointment. psa.gov.ph beginning May 22.

Senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (PWD) will still be accommodated for walk-in transactions, including PhilID holders but for a limited number of slots only.

In her message during the inauguration ceremony, OIC-Regional Director Nelida Amolar of the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) 6 said that CRS Outlet Antique was established to provide Filipinos in this part of the country with their basic right to identity and ultimately bring government services closer to the people.

Amolar also expressed her gratitude to global technology service provider Unisys for the collaboration under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) through which the CRS outlet was successfully completed and operationalized under the CRS-Information Technology Project Phase II (ITP2).

Felipe Sido, Unisys Business Processing Client Management Officer for Asia-Pacific, stressed the successes of PPP in different public service programs throughout the country and assured the public of a fast and convenient experience in processing their civil registry documents.

Meanwhile, on behalf of Assistant National Statistician Marizza Grande, Registration Officer IV Betchewell Matienzo from PSA Central Office-Civil Registration Services Division urged stakeholders to properly maintain the outlet and secure its operations to continuously serve the public in the many years ahead.

The CRS Outlet Antique is open from Monday to Friday, 07:00 am to 04:00 pm. (AGP/BPS/PIA Antique)
