QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – The local government of Parañaque spearheaded the dispensation of direct medical services to various mothers residing in the city on Wednesday, May 17, at Barangay San Dionisio.
The ‘Momshie’s Day Off’ medical caravan project was initiated by Parañaque 1st District Representative Edwin Olivarez as a way of honoring the city’s loving and hard working mothers following the celebration of Mother’s Day on May 14.
More than 300 mothers were able to avail of the free medical services including check-up, ultrasound, X-ray, ECG, as well as OB-GYN consultation.
Vice Mayor Joan Villafuerte and the members of the city council also distributed raffle prizes among the caravan beneficiaries to have a more special and meaningful celebration.
The participating mothers were likewise given souvenir crowns to make them feel like the queen as they are in their households.
Olivarez extended his gratitude to the medical team of Ospital ng Parañaque (OsPar 1) under the directive of Hospital Director Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan, Hospital Administrator Dr. Darius Sebastian, and Chief Nurse Meda Calderon for facilitating the provision of the said medical services.
During the medical mission, the local government likewise offered financial assistance to 314 identified beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS). (PIA-NCR)
