DILG inspects completed, ongoing 2022 LGSF-SBDP projects in Quirino

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - To continuously monitor and evaluate the implementation of Local Government Units (LGUs) Local Government Support Fund- Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) conducted the final inspection of the completed FY 2022 LGSF-SBDP projects in various barangays in the province

According to DILG, the LGSF-SBDP is the government’s priority program to usher development and deliver basic services to conflict-affected barangays that lagged due to the terror caused by the CPP-NPA Terrorists.

The monitoring team visited barangays Ysmael, Brgy. Cabua-an, Brgy. Villa Gracia, Brgy. San Martin and Brgy. Sto. Niño in Maddela for the final monitoring of the completed road projects to ensure that they were implemented based on national standards set by the government and its compliance on the quality processes.

In Nagtipunan, the team conducted pre-final inspection of the constructed Water Supply, Level II, Project at Barangay San Ramos and the Farm to Market Road Project at Sitio Macabu, Anak, both under the FY 2022 SBDP.

The said activity was organized to determine the actual status of the projects including the identification of possible defects and deficiencies affecting its implementation.  

The team also visited Brgy. Tucod, Cabarroguis for the inspection and validation on the 2022 SBDP projects such as concreting of Farm to Market Road Tucod which is 70.42% completed) and concreting of Farm to Market Road in Dingasan, Cabarroguis which is now 100% completed.

The findings were noted during the inspection with corresponding recommendations which were presented and discussed with the municipal engineers of the municipalities visited.

The PDMU was represented by Engr. III Lester Efhraim P. Cabrillos and Engr. I Dan Mark Gañgan and they were joined by the municipal local government operations officers, municipal engineers, contractor's project engineers, other local government offices and with the support of the personnel of the 86th Infantry-Highlander Battalion 5th ID of the Philippine Army.
