Ifugao town establishes cash incentives award

LAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA)-- Residents of Tinoc town who won international, national, regional and provincial events on sports, skills and talents and other related competitions  can now receive cash incentives after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) declared valid and operative the “Nangabak ni Itinek Incentive Award Ordinance.”

Said ordinance authored by Municipal Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Roa Reinere Buhong with Councilors Marcos Canute, Jr., Michael Pindog, Danilo Baguista and Randy Humakey as co-authors aims to motivate “Itinek”  residents  especially the youth to engage in worthwhile activities to keep  them away from vices.

This will also foster discovery of ingenuity, talents and love for sports, thus promoting a positive impression of Tinoc municipality and its people which can be emulated by their own peers.

The cash incentives shall have two categories like the individual and group events. For provincial winners of individual events, a gold medalist will receive P1,500.00; silver – P1,000.00 and bronze – P500.00.  Gold medalists for group event will receive P5,000.00; silver – P3,000.00 and bronze P1,000.00.

Incentives for regional winners are as follows: gold medal – P5,000.00, silver medal – P3,000.00 and bronze – P2,000.00. For group event, the gold medal- P10,000.00, silver – P7,000.00 and bronze – P5,000.00.

Individual and group national event winners will receive the incentives of P20,000.00 for gold medal; P15,000.00 for silver, and P10,000.00 for bronze. International event winners for individual and group category will be awarded the same incentives for gold medal – P30,000.00; silver–P20,000.00 and bronze P15,000.00.

The municipal government will award certificate of recognition and token to the winners and coaches in the different field and levels of competitions signed by the municipal mayor.

The cash incentive award with the minimum amount of P300,000.00 will be drawn from the annual appropriations and budget under the statutory obligation as part of the annual sports development program of the municipal government of Tinoc. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
