Esteemed leaders from national agencies, regional and provincial offices, who have made significant contributions to the development of the prosperous Matnog port were invited to partake in the confab. The metamorphosis of Matnog from a congested port to a well–developed transportation hub for seafarers has enhanced the province's appeal to local, national, and international investors.
“We also hope that the discussion concerning the ongoing progress at the Matnog Port, which will be part of the pre-SONA caravan can also act as a catalyst for undiscovered prospects, with the backing of the Marcos administration,” Marianito added.
PIA's newly-sworn Director-General, Usec Jose A. Torres Jr., and PIA’s Director General for Regional Operations, DDG Katherine Chloe Sinsuat De Castro will also be gracing the event.
Among the national government officials who confirmed their attendance are National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Asst. Secretary for Investment Programming Group Joseph R. Capuno; Department of Transportation Undersecretary for Maritime Sector Julius A. Yano.
Terminal Management Office (TMO) Matnog Acting Division Manager Achilles C. Galindes, Sorsogon 1st District Representative Cong. Marie Bernadette G. Escudero and 2nd District Representative, Cong. Manuel L. Fortes, Jr. are also expected to be part of this momentous occasion.

Before the pre-SONA event, 16 agencies committed to participate in the Serbisyo Caravan which will showcase PIA partner agencies various services and programs.
Sorsogon Governor Jose Edwin B. Hamor made a clear and direct appeal, requesting that the beneficiaries receive tangible services and goods from the participating agencies. He emphasized the importance of Sorsoganons being able to truly experience the genuine essence and concrete initiatives of the government.
Governor Hamor, accompanied by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, PIA Directorate, and PIA Regional Officials, will officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the pre-SONA caravan at the Sorsogon Capitol Park. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at 8:30 a.m. (PIA 5)
